Hi,

my name is Sue Thompson and I am the Pastoral Manager .I have worked at

Welford for 41 years (previously as a Teaching Assistant) and have a real

commitment to the school and the community it serves.

I work alongside Mrs Kirk, our safeguarding lead to support families in need and to provide opportunities for Welford families.

I am based in the  Community room at Welford. It is a warm and friendly place

where many of our families regularly meet for a chat to share information, advise, and offer support for one another.

Families can engage in activities where they can learn and develop new skills like, crochet, jewellery making, flower arranging ,ESOL and ICT.

We aim to  promote partnership and strengthen links between home and school .

Come and join us to chill and chat ‘on Thursdays morning ‘s 9am –10.30am(refreshments provided).

It’s an opportunity to make new friends ,learn new things, use exciting skills, share ideas and have some fun at the same time!

EVERYONE is welcome .

We are in the community room on Broughton Road.
