In our weekly science lessons our principal aim is to develop children’s knowledge, skills, and understanding of this fascinating subject. We aim to do this by engaging children in enquiry-based research activities and encouraging the children to ask, as well as answer, scientific questions.
Wherever possible, we take a practical approach that develops children’s investigative skills and fully immerses them in meaningful scientific activities. They have the opportunity to use a variety of equipment, approaches and recording methods and are taught how to read and start to interpret a variety of data, as well as other information sources like pictures and photographs.
